The Faculty of Music presents concerts by the Orchestre de l’Université de Montréal (OUM) and some 20 choirs and ensembles, including Big Band music and opera. More information on the Faculty’s ensembles.

CEPSUM
The CEPSUM is one of Quebec’s largest sports complexes. In addition to its great variety of high-calibre sports facilities, there is a kinesiology clinic and a physiotherapy and sports medicine clinic. The complex, located at the base of Mount Royal, is the perfect hangout for athletes of all ages and levels.

The CEPSUM offers March Break and summer day camps very popular with children (and their parents!).
Children’s activities
Throughout the school year, the CEPSUM offers a wide range of sports activities for children, from swimming to skating, tennis and gymnastics. Different activities for ages 2 to 17.
Les Carabins
Student athletes compete in some ten sports, from football to women’s hockey, rugby, soccer and cheerleading. Follow the Carabins, the Université de Montréal’s teams, from victory to victory. All together, now: “Allez les Bleus!”
Sports clubs
Would you like to practise a sport, just for fun or at the competitive level? We have sports clubs in some 15 different disciplines. Certain recreational clubs, like those devoted to cycling, cross-country skiing and squash, are open to the public.
UdeM campuses
We have put down roots throughout Quebec, from Laval to Lac-Mégantic, Saint-Hyacinthe and Trois-Rivières.

The specialists and trainees at our teaching clinics provide residents of the Greater Montreal area with a wide range of health care services.
Dentistry
Take a clean bite
The University of Montreal’s dental clinic, the only one of its kind in Quebec, provides care of the highest standard at a reduced price. It is the largest dental clinic in Quebec, treating some 9,500 patients annually, mainly from the Montreal area.
Faculty and dentists supervise the students and residents who provide oral health care to patients of all ages, including children. In addition to preventive care, the clinic offers treatments including root canals, orthodontics, denture fitting, tooth extraction and treatment for bone and gum disease. An emergency service is available to patients and former patients.

Speech therapy and audiology
Hear and be heard
The University of Montreal’s speech therapy and audiology clinic sees people with hearing and language-related problems. It is the only clinic in Quebec to offer services in both fields. It treats problems such as stuttering, voice loss, excessive loudness and articulation disorders. Its services also include hearing evaluation, hearing aid fitting and tinnitus characterization.
The clinic is a top-notch student training environment. Under the supervision of clinicians, the students see a thousand clients and handle about 2,500 appointments per year.

Kinesiology
Make the right move
The University of Montreal’s kinesiology clinic offers personalized professional exercise and physical activity services based on each individual’s health status and goals. The recommended fitness program takes into account the person’s injuries, physical endurance and risk factors such as cardiovascular or musculoskeletal health problems. The kinesiologists also provide rigorous follow-up for each patient.
The clinic is a training centre for kinesiology students, who work under the supervision of experienced kinesiologists. The students and professors practice in a research environment, constantly on the lookout for innovative treatments in a fast-evolving field.

Sports medicine and physiotherapy
Get back in the game
Sports injuries are this clinic’s specialty. Originally, it was reserved for the University of Montreal’s own athletes but its services are now available to anyone injured while playing a sport. The interdisciplinary experience of its 25 specialists makes it a unique centre for the treatment of injuries from tennis, skiing, soccer, football, swimming, etc. The clinic is recognized by the Institut national du sport du Québec.
In 2018-2019, nearly 3,200 patients were treated at the clinic, the majority for physiotherapy. The teaching physicians saw more than 2,700 patients, including many for orthopedics and physiatry.

Optometry
Keep your eyes open
The optometry clinic offers comprehensive eye exams as well as many specialized services to meet the needs of its clients and their children, including children under the age of five. People with glaucoma (or who fear they may have it), dry eyes, myopia, binocular vision or low vision are in the able hands of the students and 65 optometrists who work at the clinic.
The University of Montreal has the only optometry school in Quebec and its clinic, the only one of its kind in Quebec, is a state-of-the-art training centre with sophisticated equipment, supported by the university’s expertise. It serves more than 18,000 clients annually, mostly from the Montreal area.

Nutrition
Eat right
The nutrition clinic offers specialized nutrition and diet services. After analyzing the client’s eating habits, the team makes recommendations tailored to the client’s needs. The clinic can also suggest strategies for managing or preventing diabetes, gastrointestinal disorders, cardiovascular disease and allergies. Weight management, sports nutrition and vegetarianism are on the menu as well. Business consulting services are available.
Clients are seen by nutrition students in training. They are supervised by experienced nutritionists and faculty at all times.

Psychology
Recover your balance
The psychology clinic’s services include psychological and neuropsychological evaluation, individual and couple therapy, and consultations for work-related problems. It also helps children and teenagers who are experiencing difficulties with academic, social or emotional adjustment.
The clinic has been expanded and modernized, and now has 28 consultation rooms in a user-friendly space. Consultations are usually conducted by doctoral students under the supervision of experienced psychologists. Clients have the support of a large team of experts. The clinic serves residents of the metropolitan area. There is also a satellite neuropsychology clinic at the Laval campus.

In addition to providing free legal information to the general public, the legal clinic supports the University of Montreal's educational mission by giving law students practical experience they need for their professional development.

For 50 years, the general law clinic has been a pioneering, dynamic, community-minded place of learning.
Under the supervision of a team of experienced lawyers, students provide the public, including members of the university community, with free legal information.
The clinic's activities support the students' professional development by giving them an opportunity to recognize and realize their potential in a practical context. At the same time, the clinic gives the public better access to justice by informing people of their rights and obligations.

Business start-ups
Take the plunge
The business start-up clinic was founded in 2016 to give entrepreneurs free legal advice.
Guided by its values of innovation, efficiency, rigour and collaboration, the clinic supports not only the development of start-ups but also the training of law students by introducing them to contemporary market realities.
By pairing young entrepreneurs with future legal professionals as part of their academic training, the clinic helps the students apply their theoretical skills and innovate to become leaders in their field of interest and in their community.
Notarial law
Plan for peace of mind
Under the supervision of an experienced notary, the students at the notarial law clinic provide the public, including members of the university community, with free legal information.
The clinic's activities give students who are interested in the notarial profession an opportunity to develop their potential in a practical context. The clinic also gives the public better access to justice by informing people of their rights and obligations. It offers consultations on matters that fall within the scope of traditional notarial practice, such as:
- protective supervision (e.g. guardianship, mandate in anticipation of incapacity)
- marriage and common-law relationships
- wills and estates
- purchase or sale of real estate
Immigration and recognition of professional qualifications
Do the job you trained for
The legal clinic offers foreign-trained professionals free legal information to help them enter the Quebec labour market.
Under the supervision of experienced lawyers, students inform workers of their basic rights and give professionals whose fields are governed by a professional order guidance on obtaining their license to practice. The clinic recently extended its services to regulated construction trades and teachers.

Intellectual property
Protect the fruits of your labour
As the only university legal clinic in Quebec that offers free legal information on intellectual property matters, the clinic serves Quebec businesses, entrepreneurs, inventors and creators.
In addition to its educational mission, the clinic facilitates access to justice for members of the general public and raises awareness of the importance of protecting and promoting their innovations and creations.

Support for crime victims
Support is available
Under the close supervision of experienced lawyers, the clinic's students provide legal information to victims of criminal offences of all types, their loved ones, witnesses, and anyone else who feels affected by the crime, whether or not it was reported to the police and whether or not the identity of the perpetrator is known.
Information is provided about matters such as how the criminal justice system works, victims' remedies and rights, and how to assert them with the appropriate organizations or individuals. If necessary, victims can also be referred to other resources.
